All beds are equipped with high level mattresses in order to prevent bedsore in the patients at risk of developing injuries.
Useful information for hospitalization
Patients access the URGENT hospitalization directly from Casualties in Forlì, and Forlimpopoli or Santa Sofia Emergency Medical Service. For the SCHEDULED hospitalization though it is necessary to bring the GP’s request and to have undergone a visit by a doctor of this Unit. Present yourself at the Unit on the fixed day, fasting if requested. Please bring the following documents: insurance card (in Italy tessera sanitaria), the fiscal code card (in Italy, codice fiscale), valid ID with updated address and any medical document, including the therapy used at home.
In order to best organise the medical and nursing activities we do restrict visiting hours:
- Visiting hours – from Mon to Sun: 7-8 a.m.; 12.30 a.m. – 2.30 p.m.; 6.30-8.30 p.m.
At the time of discharge patients will receive: -a clinical report with the main information about their hospitalization; -eligible patients can collect the drugs free of charge (with the medical prescription) at the Hospital Pharmacy.
Personal belongings policy
Keep your personal belongings in the lockers of your room or in the special storage units, given on request by the staff (prosthesis holder and holders in which you can keep items e.g. glasses). The Hospital is not responsible for the loss of items not kept in the storage units. It is strongly advised that patients do not bring valuable items to the Hospital.
The presence of unknown people in the inpatient’s room outside the visiting hours will be checked by the nurses on duty who will take measures and separate the people without formal authorisation from the patient. Those people who assist patients (relatives, friends, voluntaries, non-medical workers) must respect the Health Direction’s rules which are displayed in the patient’s rooms.
