About us

The Neurology Unit deals with the diagnosis and treatment of neurological diseases. There are different ways of assistance: inpatient’s area, Day Hospital and outpatient’s area. There is a Clinic Neurophysiology Laboratory annexed to this Unit aimed at carrying out diagnostic tests of the Central and Peripheral Nervous System.

Forlì Neurology Day Hospital

Day Hospital: diagnosis and therapies of neurological diseases which do not need ordinary hospitalization. Ambulatorio Protetto (an outpatient’s department with place for inpatients). Centro Sclerosi Multipla (Multiple Sclerosis Centre).

Ward’s features

The Neurology inpatients’ area is situated on the 4th floor in Pavilion Morgagni. It is provided with nine en-suite twin rooms. Trhee of them are equipped with monitors which record the main vital parameters.

Useful information for hospitalization

Patients access the URGENT hospitalization directly from Casualties, after request of the Neurologist, the Doctor in Medicine or another doctor. For the SCHEDULED hospitalization though it is necessary the approval of the Neurologist, who sets the time and date of such hospitalization. Present yourself at the Unit on the fixed day, fasting if requested. Please bring the following documents: insurance card (in Italy tessera sanitaria), the fiscal code card (in Italy, codice fiscale), valid ID with updated address and any medical document. In order to best organise the medical and nursing activities we do restrict visiting hours:
-Visiting hours: from Mon to Sun: 6.30-8 a.m.; 12.30 a.m. – 2.30 p.m.; 6.30 – 8.30 p.m.

Discharge

At the time of discharge patients will receive: -a clinical report with the main information about their hospitalization; -eligible patients can collect the drugs free of charge (with the medical prescription) at the hospital pharmacy located in the Pavilion Morgagni, ground floor (opening hours: from Mon to Fri from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sat from 9 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.)
